Our Silent Film

We made a silent film in Movie Making and this is how it turned out.

We made this film on clip champ our tasks were to make it black and white with no talking and to speed up the clips.

In movie making we have been learning about the Camrea shots and Angles. This slideshow shows what every shot and angle is.

Metallurgy

In this topic I personally have improved. At the beginning of this all I could do was name metals but now I can describe what certain metals are. For example aluminium, copper and magnesium alloys are all ductile. We learnt about the different types of properties of metals such as Ductile, corrosive, lustre, malleable. 

Food Tech

 Last Thursday Ethan and I made cinnamon rolls. Tips for next time to keep it in the oven a nit longer.

Dough

2 cups Edmonds Self Raising Flour - 1 cup

pinch salt - 1/2 

90g Tararua Butter, chopped- 45g

2/3 cup Meadow Fresh Original Milk - ⅓

 

For the filling

120g Tararua Butter, softened- 60g 

4 tablespoons Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar- 2 tablespoons

2 teaspoons cinnamon sugar (or half cinnamon and half Chelsea White Sugar) 1 teaspoon

 

For the icing

1 cup Chelsea Icing Sugar -½ cup

1 tablespoon boiling water - ½ tablespoons

 

Term reflection and goal setting 2022

Kia ora, we have been setting goals to prepare us for 2022. Below are my goals:

One piece of advice for myself this year is to be more involved with group work.

One thing I was proud of from last year is my google slides presentation. My main focus this term is to concentrate more when the teacher is talking. When I need help I know to ask my friends or a teacher. At the end of this term, I want to be able to say that I achieved my goal of passing my assessments. These are my action steps to help me get there. Staying focused in class. Doing all the work before the due date. Study before tests. Ask for help when I need it. To manage myself.
